Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant/Finance Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks, and preparing monthly financial statements, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the financial health of our business.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Bookkeeping:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records by recording all financial transactions, including expenses, revenue, and payroll.
  2. Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare and present monthly financial statements, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports, to provide a clear overview of the company’s financial performance.
  3. Budgeting:
    • Assist in developing and monitoring budgets to ensure financial goals are met and resources are utilized effectively.
  4. Tax Compliance:
    • Prepare and file tax returns, including income tax and sales tax, and ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations.
  5. Accounts Payable and Receivable:
    • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, payment processing, and collections.
  6. Bank Reconciliation:
    • Reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions.
  7. Audit Support:
    • Collaborate with auditors during annual audits and ensure all financial records and statements are prepared for audit.
  8. Financial Systems:
    • Utilize accounting software and other financial tools to streamline accounting processes.
  9. Compliance:
    •  Stay up-to-date with accounting regulations and ensure the company’s financial activities are in compliance with legal requirements.
  10. Administrative:
    • Manage monthly payroll, payments to contractors/suppliers, filing of documents and other ad-hoc administrative tasks

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in accounting and financial management, preferably in a small business environment.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and financial tools.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • CPA or other relevant certification is an added bonus.
